    Luxury England Golf Tours

The game of golf was brought to England from Scotland, “the home of golf”, in the early 1600’s when King James VI of Scotland relocated to England to become James I of England. Many of King James’ closest advisers played in Scotland, and it wasn’t long before they were itching for a round.

Since then, 2,000 golf clubs have sprung up over England, providing some of the best links courses in the world. With a staggering diversity of courses on offer, England is more than a match for anything Scotland or Ireland can provide.

A holiday with Luxury Tours England is also a great way to combine playing golf with seeing some amazing parts of the country. Our tour designers are on hand to give you great ideas for sightseeing trips to supplement your golfing schedule. We are also able to arrange caddie and club hire should you require it.

    Sight-Seeing & Excursions

Many of our clients enjoy adding some day trips to their golfing holiday. A full week on the fairways can be intense, so a day off in the middle to visit a famous landmark or city can be the ideal break you need. Or perhaps you’d like to arrange for early tee times each day in order to enjoy the rest of the day sightseeing.

No matter your preference, we can arrange a bespoke itinerary that works for you.

With so many excellent yet varied courses to play in England, it can be hard to narrow it down to the ones you want to visit. However, whether you have a good idea of where you want to play or could do with some guidance on what’s right for you, our tour designers are here to chat through your interests and make sure you enjoy every round.

    How It Works

Creating the trip of a lifetime couldn’t be easier. Here’s how it works:

    Initial Enquiry
During an initial discussion, our team will gather all the necessary information, including preferred dates, accommodation preference (4 or 5 star), interests and activities, size of the party, number of rooms required, and any dietary requirements.

    Draft Itinerary
Our tour designers then use your information to create a full draft itinerary of your tour. This is curated into a PDF file, complete with pictures and full costing, and sent to you for revision.

    Itinerary Revision
This is a crucial stage where you have full control to amend the itinerary. See something you don’t like? It’s gone. Fancy visiting somewhere we haven’t mentioned? Simply let us know and we will do everything in our power to create the ultimate itinerary for your group. And if you need any inspiration, our tour designers will be on hand to offer friendly advice.

    Final Draft and Deposit
Once you are fully satisfied with the itinerary, we will consider it finalised. This is when you will make your deposit and the excitement really builds!

    Confirmation
As soon as your deposit is made, we book every aspect of your trip and once everything is arranged, we will send you a confirmation email.

    England’s Best Courses

We could dedicate an entire website to the magnificent golf courses of England; there are just so many. However, below we’ve narrowed it down to the real standouts.

    Royal St. George’s

Consistently topping the lists of England’s top courses, Royal St. George is one for any golfer’s bucket list. Established in 1887 with the explicit goal of rivalling the famous Old Course at St Andrew’s, Royal St. George soon achieved that aim by hosting the first Open Championship beyond the greens of Scotland in 1894. Since then, it has played host to the Open 15 times.
It may be a challenging place to play, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how quickly you feel at home on this exquisite course that has welcomed the greats of the game. Look out for hole 6 where no less than 4 bunkers lie ready to punish any sloppy play.
To round off your day in style, you can enjoy lunch in the prestigious Dining Room.

    Sunningdale

Boasting both an Old and New Course, Sunningdale is perfectly suited for larger parties of mixed ability. More experienced players in the group will relish the chance to take on the challenge of the demanding New Course, while less experienced players will nonetheless still feel tested by the Old Course.
Regularly ranked in the top 30 courses in the world, it won’t take you long to realise why Sunningdale has developed such a glowing reputation.

    Woodhall Spa

It’s normal to feel a little rusty at the start of a golfing holiday, and you can be left longing for some more practice time before heading out on your first round. If this sounds familiar, Woodhall Spa, with its extensive practice facilities, may just be the perfect place to begin your trip. You’ll be in top form in no time with Woodhall’s dedicated short game and grass tee areas, indoor swing analysis centre, covered driving range, and indoor putting room.
From there you can take your pick from two of the finest quality courses in England, Hotchkin and Bracken. The Hotchkin Course was ranked the 16th best in the whole of Europe, while the Bracken was crafted by renowned course architect Donald Steel.
