    Tipping culture in Britain or Ireland is fairly relaxed and there is no obligation for you to tip. However, if you feel that you have received excellent service then doing so would be a kind gesture appreciated by bartenders and waiters. The tipping rate is around 10% but feel free to add more if the service was exceptional.

    Do you include meals in each tour package?

    We provide recommendations on the best pubs, bars, and restaurants to dine in. However, lunch and dinner are not included in the final price unless requested. When booking accommodation, bed and breakfast will always be included unless otherwise instructed. You can make a special request to have a set menu and selected wines to be pre-paid.

    What is the best time of year to visit Britain and Ireland?

    This is dependent on your preferences. The spring and summer months between April and September is the tourist season because of the warmer and drier weather. Temperatures during this period are very pleasant and have much more daylight, providing more time for activities.

    Winter and Autumn offers its own charm. Although darker and colder, the festive season is full of spirit, celebration and cosy evenings in lively pubs.

    What clothes should I pack?

    Quick, unexpected showers are not uncommon in Britain and Ireland, so make sure to bring waterproofs, irrespective of the time of year. Summer temperatures can go as high as 30 degrees, especially in the South of England – shorts and t-shirts are advised.

    During the winter months it can get very cold with temperatures hovering towards zero and even minus in some parts of the British Isles. Packing thick jumpers, jackets along with waterproofs is a must.
