Below are just some examples of the places you can visit on your private tour.
England is renowned the world over for its exquisite and ornate country gardens, most of which are set in the grounds of grand mansions and castles. Arundel Castle and Gardens, for example, is over 1,000 years old, looks over the river Arun, and has been owned by many Kings, Queens, and noble families over the centuries.
Equally impressive is Hever Castle and Gardens, which boasts a seemingly endless array of unique gardens, including an Italian Garden, Tudor Garden, mazes, a Japanese teahouse, boating lakes, fountains, and grottoes, making for a wonderful day of exploring.
During the Medieval Period in England, castles sprung up like mushrooms all over the country. Some of these are abandoned and ruined, though remain thoroughly impressive in their own right. For example, the ruins of King Arthur’s Tintagel Castle sits atop rocky cliffs and makes for stunning photographs.
On the other hand, some are lovingly maintained to this day, allowing visitors to stroll inside and imagine what life must have been like many years ago.
There are also many historic sites to visit in England. Highlights include Stonehenge, an ancient stone circle, and the Jurassic Coast, England’s only natural World Heritage Site.
