Day 2Visit to Stonehenge, half day walking tour of Bath

Accommodation – The Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa, Bath (1 Night)
Transport – Executive Vehicle & Private Chauffeur Transfer

Dinner Reservation – The Circus Restaurant

And so it begins! Your first day of touring kicks off with a visit to one of the most iconic historical sights in Britain, Stonehenge.
As you wander round this ancient stone circle, you will feel a deep connection with the people who worked wonders to build it around 5,000 years ago. You will also learn how the giant stones were moved, gaze into the eyes of a 5,000 year old man, and visit a Neolithic village.

From there you will be taken on a half day walking tour of the city of Bath. Renowned as a city of wellbeing, this tour will leave you feeling refreshed and peaceful. Intended as a place to retreat to since the Roman era, Bath’s distinctively coloured Georgian architecture, churches, bridges, and curved terraces, such as The Circus, are a delight to behold.

The city centre is a bustling hub bursting with bars, independent gift shops, and cafes.

This evening you will be staying in The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa in Bath. Serving guests for more than 250 years, The Royal Crescent is an iconic feature of Bath and prides itself on providing guests with unbeatable service. From the moment you arrive you will be treated like royalty.

You will then have dinner reservations at the esteemed Circus Restaurant, which serves a range of European dishes such as Parma ham and nectarine salad and Rosary goats cheese bouikos.

Day 3Chepstow Castle, Tintern Abbey, Brecon Beacons National Park

Accommodation – Llangoed Hall Hotel, Brecon, Wales (1 Night)
Transport – Executive Vehicle & Private Chauffeur Transfer

Dinner Reservation – Dine at Llangoed Hall Hotel

Day 3 is packed with activities and starts off with a trip to Chepstow Castle for a chance to stroll around this well-preserved, clifftop ruin. Construction began in 1067, making it one of the earliest Norman fortified positions and a key site of the medieval period.

From there you’ll be driven to Tintern Abbey, considered a quintessential example of Gothic architecture. Established in 1131 by Cistercian monks, this delightful abbey enjoyed hundreds of glorious years before the Reformations of King Henry VIII led to it’s gradual decline to the state it’s in today.

Up next is a journey from man-made beauty to natural beauty as you explore the Brecon Beacons National Park. This huge expanse of rolling hills, flowing rivers, and enchanting forests spans over 500 square miles.

Keep an eye out for the wildlife on display, such as peregrine and merlin falcons, ring ouzels, and red kites.

You will then be whisked back to your accommodation for the evening, Llangoed Hall Hotel. This charming little hotel is brimming with character and sits in the heart of Wye Valley, one of the most picturesque spots in Britain.

Decorated with impressive artwork and priceless antiques, Llangoed Hall’s dining room offers the perfect backdrop for a meal of confit monkfish, plaice grenobloise, and Manjari chocolate.

Day 4Powis Castle and Garden, scenic drive through Snowdonia, Conwy Castle

Accommodation – Bodysgallen Hall, Llandudno, Wales (2 Nights)
Transport – Executive Vehicle & Private Chauffeur Transfer

Dinner Reservation – The Dining Room at Bodysgallen

First up today is a visit to Powis Castle and Garden. Constructed in the 13th century under the orders of Gruffudd ap Gwenwynwyn, a noble Welsh prince, Powis Castle was a key site in Welsh history, witnessing many battles and political upheavals. The castle sits proudly above the gardens, which were added around 1700 and are a rare example of a Baroque garden in Britain today. You can enjoy fantastic views over the Welsh countryside from the numerous terraces.

Your driver will then take you on a mesmerising drive through Snowdonia, Wales’ biggest national park. Snowdonia has it all, with dramatic contrasts between high mountains and sweeping valleys, rugged coastlines, deep forests, and an abundance of wildlife, including the endangered Carneddau wild ponies.

After an afternoon of exploration, your driver will take you to your accommodation for the next two nights, Bodysgallen Hall. Surrounded by 200 acres of rolling green fields, Bodysgallen is an oasis of peace and tranquillity. Starting life as an important look-out tower to warn of attackers, this luxury Grade 1 listed house is now a place to receive the warmest of Welsh welcomes.

This evening you will be dining in Bodysgallen’s 3 AA Rosette restaurant which enjoys exquisite views over the gardens and grounds. The menu has been carefully crafted to showcase the finest Welsh produce, such as local, hand-picked crab, Conwy lamb, and poached rhubarb grown on the estate.

Day 5Snowdon Mountain Railway Ride (Clogwyn Heritage Steam), visit Betws-y-Coed

Accommodation – Bodysgallen Hall, Llandudno, Wales
Transport – Executive Vehicle & Private Chauffeur Transfer

Dinner Reservation – The Dining Room at Bodysgallen

After a delicious Bodysgallen breakfast you are in for a special treat. Your driver will take you to Llanberis station where you will embark on the magical Snowdon Mountain railway ride. This truly is an unforgettable experience as the little steam engine makes its way up the awesome mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales and England.
After leaving Llanberis, you will snake your way across a couple of viaducts over the Afon Hwch river, passing by huge waterfalls as you go. Soon after you will catch your first glimpse of the summit, and keep your eyes trained on the skies as peregrine falcons roam the area.

As you climb you will be rewarded with views across to Moel Cynghorion, the Mountain of Councillors, before skirting past the cliff edge above Rocky Valley. Snow and ice can prevent the trains from reaching the summit during the winter months, but if so, you will arrive at Clogwyn Station which offers just as impressive views of the surrounding mountains.

After returning to ground level, your driver will take you to Betws-y-Coed. This quaint Welsh village is the “gateway to Snowdonia” and is flanked by hills and the Gwydyr Forest. There is an abundance of independent craft and gift shops, so why not pop in and pick up a souvenir or gift for a loved one before taking some time out in one of many cafes.

From there you will return to Bodysgallen to enjoy another evening of fine dining.

Day 6Walk along Chester City Walls and see the historic Chester Rows, scenic drive through the Peak District, Chatsworth House

Accommodation – The Cavendish Hotel at Baslow, Bakewell (1 Night)
Transport – Executive Vehicle & Private Chauffeur Transfer

Dinner Reservation – The Gallery Restaurant

Day six kicks off with a trip to the historic English city of Chester, which sits right on the border between England and Wales and was originally a fortified Roman settlement. There are many wonderful sights in Chester, and you will begin by taking a walk along the City Walls.
This 2-mile walk along the red sandstone walls follows the route of the old Roman walls and passes by a number of landmarks. You’ll see King Charles’ Tower, which has a museum documenting the English civil war inside, as well as three further towers; Morgan’s Mount, Pemberton’s Parlor, and Bonewaldesthorne’s Tower. If you’re in need of some wishes, why not test yourself on Chester’s Wishing Steps. If you can run up and down these twice while holding your breath, your wishes will be granted.
From there you will visit the remarkable Chester Rows, a group of 14th century streets which sit at first floor height and are made from stone and timber, creating an enchanting fairy-tale look.

You will then be driven through the Peak District, marvelling at the rolling hills and wide open valleys, until you reach Chatsworth House. This grand stately home is filled with artwork, sculptures, antique furniture, and the mesmerising Painted Hall.

You will be staying in the Cavendish Hotel at Baslow this night. With delightful views of the Peak District, the 3 AA Rosette Gallery Restaurant will play host to an evening of fine dining you will not forget in a hurry. Here you can try some local Chatsworth beef, followed by a light blackcurrant and mango soufflé.

Day 7Scenic drive through the Cotswolds, Blenheim Palace, afternoon walking tour of Oxford

Accommodation – Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Oxford (1 Night)
Transport – Executive Vehicle & Private Chauffeur Transfer

Dinner Reservation – Dine at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons

Your first job on day seven is a tough one; sit back and relax as your driver takes you on a tour of the Cotswolds. Renowned for its expansive landscape of rolling hills, the Cotswolds are dotted with medieval villages which boast thatched roof houses and many churches made of distinctive “golden” sandstone.

From there you will head to Blenheim Palace, a world heritage site and one of the grandest stately homes in England.

Next up is a walking tour of the world-famous city of Oxford. Here you will learn all about the history of the famous university city, as well as the lives of some famous authors who lived here, such as Lewis Carroll, author of Alice in Wonderland, and J. R. R. Tolkien, author of Lord of the Rings.

Your accommodation for the evening will be Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, a divine manor house developed by the distinguished chef Raymond Blanc OBE. Le Manoir received not one but two Michelin stars in 1984 and maintains them to this day.

The seven course dinner menu delivers a taste sensation and includes chargrilled Scottish langoustine, truffled scallop, fillet of beef, and compressed peach.

Day 8Full day walking tour of London (Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament, London Eye, Tate Modern, Borough Market, London Bridge, The Shard, Tower Bridge, Tower of London

Accommodation – Shangri-La The Shard, London (2 Nights)
Transport – Executive Vehicle & Private Chauffeur Transfer

Dinner Reservation – The Sky Lounge

From the intimate streets of Oxford to the sprawling metropolis of London, day 8 begins with a walking tour of England’s capital. You will pass by many of the most distinctive and famous landmarks in London, including: Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, the Tate Modern, Borough Market, London Bridge, the Shard, Tower Bridge, and the Tower of London. As this is a walking tour, there unfortunately won’t be time to enter any of the attractions on the route.

After a day of exploring London, you will be taken to your accommodation, Shangri-La, The Shard. This stunning structure is impressive to look at from the outside with its quirky design, however, the view from the inside looking out over the vast expanse of London is breath-taking.

In the evening you will dine in the hotel’s suitably named Sky Lounge which, as well as panoramic views, offers delicacies such as beluga caviar, beef tartar, and Cumbrae oysters.

Day 9Tower of London tour, Churchill War Rooms, Afternoon Tea at the Ritz

Accommodation – Shangri-La The Shard, London
Transport – Executive Vehicle & Private Chauffeur Transfer

Your final day of touring begins with the “secrets of the tower” tour of the Tower of London. The Tower has been a crucial location in London for over 900 years, serving various purposes but most notably as a fortified position considered key to controlling the country, as well as a prison.
On your private tour you will learn all about the Tower’s history and get a glimpse of areas not usually seen by the public.

The journey through London’s history continues with a visit to the Churchill War Rooms. This is the underground bunker where Winston Churchill and his staff made many critical decisions during World War II. As well as learning about the war, you will also hear all about the life of the charismatic leader in the Churchill Museum.

Bringing the dramatic history lesson to an end, your next stop is afternoon tea in none other than The Ritz Hotel. The elegance and opulence of your surroundings, accompanied by the soft notes of the resident harpist, provide an afternoon tea experience that simply cannot be surpassed.

From there you will return to the Shangri-La where this evening you will be dining in the TĪNG restaurant which offers Asian inspired cuisine. After a long day of touring, the seared Japanese Wagyu sirloin, stir-fried Mongolian beef, or salmon tataki will go down a treat.
